Technical advisory

ClaudeLight.

A website for ClaudeLight and three apps that share one sign-in: a free price index calculator, a paid asset register and an expense tool for staff.

ClaudeLight website, home page

ClaudeLight is the customer-facing brand of TrueWorth Strategic Partners LLP, a technical advisory firm in New Delhi. The firm does assessment and advisory work for property and infrastructure owners, such as due diligence, valuation, project governance and procurement. It also sells software built around that work.

We built the website and the three apps behind it. The website has the marketing pages and handles sign-in, quotes and billing. PIF (Price Index Factor) is a free calculator, AMM (Asset Management & Monitoring) is the paid asset register, and Expense Management is only for ClaudeLight’s staff.

The price index calculator

PIF works from India’s official Wholesale Price Index (WPI) data, published by the Office of the Economic Adviser under DPIIT. It covers 1,136 commodities across three linked base years (2022-23, 2011-12 and 2004-05), with monthly data from January 2005.

It escalates supply-contract prices, restates past values in today’s money and converts nominal growth into real growth. Because the base years are linked, any two periods can be compared: PIF gives the index factor, the percentage change and the escalated amount, with a chart and an Excel download. Users can save their own commodity lists in My Indexes, work with team members in an organisation, look back at their calculations and share them.

The asset register

AMM records the technical assets in a property portfolio: the equipment in buildings such as office parks, malls, hospitals, hotels and residential towers. It is sold as a subscription. It covers 17 asset classes, each with its own engineering form, including elevators, escalators, transformers, HT/LT panels, DG sets, UPS, solar, chillers, fire pumps, sprinklers, sewage treatment plants and CCTV.

Expense claims

Employees log expenses with the bill attached. Each claim moves from draft to submitted, then to approved or rejected, and finally to reimbursed. Managers approve claims from their direct reports. If a claim breaks a policy rule, the tool warns but does not block it. There is also an audit log, and reports that can be exported as CSV.

Selling AMM

From quote to subscription

The website runs the whole sales process for AMM.

  1. 01

    Quote

A customer asks for a quote and gets an order ID.

  2. 02

    Discount code

An admin can issue one discount code per order.

  3. 03

    Billing details

The customer fills in billing and GST details and asks for an invoice.

  4. 04

    Payment

Each payment is recorded against its invoice.

  5. 05

    Subscription

Once the customer pays, a subscription is created for one year with five users.

  6. 06

    Welcome email

The customer gets an email with a link that gives them access to AMM.

Access

Sign-in and security

  • One sign-in for every app

People sign in on the website with their mobile number and a one-time code. The website then signs them in to each app, so no app has its own password.

  • Access per app

A super admin decides who can use AMM and who can use Expense Management, from the admin dashboard.

  • Separate databases

AMM and Expense Management each keep their own database and their own copy of the user records, so a problem in one can't spread to the other.

  • Organisations and roles

In AMM, customers work in organisations with viewer, editor, admin and owner roles, and invite colleagues by email.

  • Security in AMM

AMM has two-factor authentication, an audit trail, rate limiting and protection against forged requests (CSRF). It also stops two people from overwriting each other's edits.

  • Read-only support

ClaudeLight staff can look at a customer's data in AMM without being able to change it.
